The Meaning of Being Lonely [Part 2] Felix sprang up from his restless sleep breathing heavy and sweating bullets. His eyes darted around the room walls until the memories of the previous night flooded his consciousness. Avdotia was dead, he remembered it clearly, her blood had been all over his clothes, the police officer had pulled him off of her, it was raining so hard. He began to panic until he noticed the woman sleeping on her stomach right next to him. The blanket was down by her waist and the rays of sun being filtered through the curtains danced on her naked back which raised and lowered in light rhythmic breathing. Felix breathed out a very long sigh of relief. It had all been a dream, a horrid intensely vivid dream, but a dream nonetheless. He touched the small of her back gently, praying to whatever god was out there that the previous night really was a dream, and that she was real. That she wasn't just some figment of hi
The Meaning of Being Lonely In the darkness of night, rain fell from the sky like a thick sheet. The sirens of police cars and ambulances screeched nosily. Chaos was everywhere. Everything was a blur of sounds, meshed color, and freezing cold rain. Felix's eyes opened slowly. He was on the pavement, a thin line of blood seeped from his forehead. He tried to remember what happened. As he moved his body he groaned in pain.
"Sir are you ok?" A voice called to him from the darkness. After a few second of confusion reality hit him like a truck. His eyes darted around in a panic. He called out but no words escaped his lips.
He saw her.
Rain mixed with the pool of blood she laid in.
He ran to her and pulled her into his arms. Blood seeped into his clothing. He touched the holes in her torso gently.
"Avdotia!! Open your eyes!" He screamed but his voice was engulfed by the chaos of sirens and voices around him. He shook her f
God is Not an American ValueLadies and Gentlemen of Congress, thank you for allowing me to speak today.
I do not stand before you with a hate filled heart.
I do not stand before you today wishing to destroy anyone's beliefs or ways of life.
I do not stand before you today hoping to achieve a victory for one group while hurting another.
Instead, I stand before you today in the hope that you listen open-mindedly.
That is all I ask.
In 1956, "In God We Trust" was adopted as the United States official motto. This motto has been on our coins since 1864 and on our paper currency since 1957. In 1954, the words "Under God" where added to the Pledge of Allegiance. The question of whether or not these phrases are constitutional has been argued on all levels, from the dinner tables of average Americans, all the way up to the Supreme Court. I personally believe that these phrases are unconstitutional, but the arguments for it have been so overused that I feel repeating them would be beating a dead horse.

mechanici want to kiss every aching wound you have,
bandage your heart every time it bleeds,
and patch up your mind over and over
because not a single tear deserves to fall
from your brandy-drenched eyes
but this dripping heart of mine can only feel
and the healing honey words it flames get caught
in the back of my throat and on the roof of my mouth
so i only have these passionate guttural cries
to tell you that i care all too much
and in order to fix you up again,
i would need to tear myself to tatters
and trade all of my working parts
for your leftover, fading pieces
but i just haven’t figured out how.
